Using the URL at keyword level can be now predefined when creating an integration job. By checking the box in the “Remove Keyword Level URL” option in Default Values >> Criteria, the user can decide at which level to include the URL provided by the feed.

adCore™ has updated the feed structures that are compatible with the system. With the current update users can test and use feeds with various structures.

Please note that adCore™ is now supporting both attributes and elements xml structures.

Feed structure key:
key:     (Is Attribute (1/0); Outer Element Name; Repeat Row Element Name)
example: 0;CATALOG;CD, 0=element.
example: 1;rows;row,   1 = attribute

The feed structure should be stated while testing feeds in the Feed Sandbox.

Generic data feeds developed (feeds that do not require dynamic updates) within excel can be transferred and saved using the CSV to XML Converter and click Convert and Save, rather than just Convert.

When using Convert, the converted file is stored on the system for up to 10 days, while the Convert and Save feature allows you to save the file for as long as required.

Data feed columns are now directly related to the column headers. The structure of c1, c2 etc. is now changed to a more structured outline where the header represents the data.

The new naming structure for the attributes can also be used within the integration job runs in the combine actions and text ads, providing you with an easier to understand job run.

Using adCore’s™ Feed Mapper tool a more generic data feed can also be mapped to correct attribute names for adCore™ allowing adCore™ to convert third party data feed from ecommerce platforms into the required format for adCore™.

A new feed mapping feature has been introduced within the system as well as a new structure for the feeds themselves. We are starting to move towards a more generic type of feed where the same feed will be useful within search engines as well as shopping comparison sites and the labels will be directly related to the actual data.

Currently in adCore™ there are two data feed types. The first is full and the second is short, both described below. For each feed there are two sections; Generic Fields and Type Fields.

Example: For a website selling digital cameras Generic Fields will include item_type, id, title, description, link, price, currency_code and item_language. The Type Fields include mpn (product name), collection, brand, color, megapixels etc.

Only the eight Generic Fields described above are required, where all attributes of the item type are either recommended or optional.

Full: Used within search engines and shopping comparison engines where more attributes and descriptions can be used for each product.

For search engine campaigns adCore™ will use a section of the total full feed and for shopping comparison sites adCore™ will use the full feed in its entirety.

Specifications for the full feed can be found here within the adCore™ help section. Simply select Full from the Feed Type dropdown menu and the Item Type (e.g. Products:camera).

The full feeds contain required and recommended fields.

Short: Used only for campaigns within search engines.
